PAINTING PROCESS

"I never know what I am doing until it is done."

The process is entirely experimental, no plan, no sketches, just following the lines of a visual communication with the subconscious' will.

The most dominant influences come from artists like Kandinsky, Franz Marc, as well as more contemporary influences established by Basquiat, Haring, & Pollock.

A concentrated study of art history also allowed the principles of classical & symbolic mythology and occasional  historical events.

As an adherent to the philosophy of Taoism, there is always a need for balance, whether it be colour, form, texture or space. Colour defines the  form as well as the space embracing it.

"Space defines the form it embraces."

***********************************
Kandinsky:

"....an object can only legitimately be considered art if it has an unadulterated, outward manifestation of the artist’s psyche."

"The sound of music travels direct to the soul. There it is immediately echoed because music is innate to man."

According to Kandinsky, these quotations show how the different forms of art expressions are connected, especially music and painting.
