2011-2013 “Natural Acts & Provocations”

Natural Acts was inspired by the 9.1 earthquake in Japan on 3/9/11. An enormous earthquake with enormous tsunamis and Fukushima nuclear power "meltdowns".

The gathering of this information, inspired a more aggressive expression in brushwork, movement, colour, and use of line as the form. 

These paintings are a journey from multiple disasters & loss to acceptance & a struggle for adaptaation.
