Reconciliation

Reconciliation refers specifically to the disenfranchisement of the Indigenous  cultures in Canada

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission established by the Canadian government, was active from 2008 to 2015, and organized by the parties of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement.

Initially it was focused on the Inuit peoples, but soon included all indigenous peoples of Canada.

When the Standing Rock confrontation occurred in North Dakota, USA, it added to the project’s intention to be a global ‘social agenda'.
