 "Arctic Garden"

The intention for this piece was to provide a garden feature, with a seating place  within the sculpture.

The four vrtival post refer to the four members of the family and seasons of the year.

Additional carving into the platform 'ground stone', presents the character of a polar bear, swimming under ice. Conversley, a falcon rendered by the negative space around the form of the polar bear. 

 

Most of the stones for this project were imported, and additional regional stones were carved and applied for contrast of colour, texture and form.
