Allies of Balance

Aligning the balanced rocks in parallel formations, helped create open canals of flowing spaces of the riverbed.
The design of this year's project is based on the principle that "the repetition of form creates a unity of movement and rhythm."


As the project developed, the parallel alignments became a methaphore for alliances, and each rock an allie, which established the theme, "Allies of Balance".
This year's project experienced a near record low river beginning in the fall, which allowed the project to remain intact wekk into the winter.
